If you’ve lived in London, New York, Paris or Milan, then you’ll know that models are not a foreign entity consigned to runways and magazines.
They are people – genuine humans – that live among us and share the same streets as us.
Though, walking the same streets as the likes of Bella Hadid, seems like a blessing and a curse.

For one, someone that breathtakingly beautiful should not be living within 100 metres of my mug.
But their decision to live among us means we can take notes on their day-to-day fashion choices, which influences our own.
Models seem to navigate every situation in a fit worthy of countless blog posts – and you should too.
A day in the office is no longer viewed by me as a 9-5 grind anymore.
Rather, it’s another chance to showcase my style qualifications to commuters who don’t know me, and find me insufferable.
But finding a way to look amazing while literally doing anything, is a confidence booster worth taking up.
As I’ve said before, why not take the bins out in couture? Why not wear Louboutin’s to the library?
I’ve seen Bella Hadid wear couture for a dog walk, while Hailey Bieber oozes lowkey high fashion during her regular errands runs in New York.

Trying this look on over the past week myself, I have noticed how much this outfit choice screams muted luxury.
Combining a long or over-sized shirt with a sweater vest and skirt is a fabulous style choice.
Pair any baggy shirt, preferrably in white or blue, with a static shade like beige for the sweater vest, and a grey pleated skirt to achieve this look.
The clothes themselves don’t need to be pricey.
I got my shirts from a thrift/charity shop, while my grey skirt came from Primark and my beige sweater vest is from PrettyLittleThing.
Once the look is worn, it can be accessorised and played with.
I wear this look with a yellow gold Cartier Love bracelet and a silver diamond-encrusted bangle, which go so well together.
I tie my hair back when rocking this look, as it’s minimal and elegant.

Styling hair down distracts from the intricacies of the outfit, I feel which deserves to be seen.
The right handbag is a MUST for this outfit, which is minimal but can be elevated.
I chose to wear my Prada Re-edition 2005 Re-nylon bag, an iconic bag that maintains its relevancy in fashion today – and features in 2004 comedy flick White Chicks.
Black tights and shoes add to the aura of elegance, taking it from what would have looked like a high school cosplay, to a genuine elegant off-duty model style.

It can be worn to work, after work drinks, or even as a party outfit with a court heel or mule.
I prefer shirt dresses for something like this, as you have the duality options of keeping the shirt tucked into your skirt to enhance your silhouette, or be a rebel and wear it tucked out for a cool and edgy look.
Shirt dresses mean you also don’t have to whack the skirt on if it makes the outfit overkill, because the shirt dress is enough on its own (depending on the weather).
